[TRANS] Yoo Ah In Instagram/Twitter Updates December 2013 Part I: Mr. Wise Guy is Back!
AINyeong SIKseekers~^_^ We finally have time translating and posting Yoo Ah In’s tweets after quite a long overdue. Woot woot!
But since his tweets consisted of a looong chat and tweet, we will post the translations in 2 parts. First part is only about his Instagram and “philosophy” tweet updates.
After his last Instagram update on the 7th, Yoo Ah In was online several times and updating his SNS from 8th to 21st December. It seems he did have much time in his claws nowadays that he posted pictures on his Facebook and Instagram and even had interaction with his fans and followers. Let’s dissect his tweets and Instagram update one by one^^
On 8th December Yoo Ah In posted in his Instagram and Facebook accounts a pictorial from Harper’s Bazaar, August 2012 issue where he was featured as the 2012 Bazaar Man.
Perhaps he likes this picture much? We like it too. Check more beautiful photos of Yoo Ah In in Harper’s Bazaar 2012 August issue here.
On 9th December Yoo Ah In went online again and posted another photo which was taken from the poster of a critically acclaimed 2011 British movie Shame. He also quoted the line from Sissy (Carey Mulligan), the lead female in this movie, “We are not bad people. We’ve just come from a bad place.” [Read the good review here]
I assume he just watched this movie and he really liked it that he shared it with us 🙂
And this is the best part: at the same day, Yoo Ah In posted some messages on his twitter before hitting the ‘fan service at its best’, that is: chatting and answering fans questions! However, we will post the chat translations in Part II soon.
Let’s check out the translations of his tweets first~
I’m not sure why he tweeted like this, but it seems once again Yoo Ah In sent words to people, who told him not to be outspoken (because it’s wiser to be quiet), that he didn’t give a damn. However, still this made him feel sad, or perhaps disappointed, because of what they said to him.
The second tweet is a quote from Slavoj Zizek’s book “Did Somebody Say Totalitarianism?”
Slavoj Žižek is a Slovenian Marxist philosopher who achieved international recognition after the publication of his first book in English ‘The Sublime Object of Ideology’. In July 2013, he was appointed as an Eminent Scholar at Kyung Hee University, South Korea.
Yoo Ah In’s quoting Žižek became the talk among netizens and journalists as well. Donga News 17th December:
Yoo Ah In quoted Andre Gide several times on his twitter as well in the past. Yes we know he’s an avid reader of the heavy materials. That’s where his tremendous knowledge came from ^^
And here goes his 3rd tweet for 9th Dec as well~
Well it seems he thought he was a bit rude to those “old people” due to his first tweet, so this tweet to me sounds like he felt embarrassed and apologetic. LOL Master Sik :p
Last but sure not least, on the 13th and 21st December Yoo Ah In posted nice photos in his Instagram account again from his Los Angeles vacation last month~
This one, I believe, is Venice Beach in Los Angeles
Master Sik is a good photographer too^^
And here he is somewhere in Los Angeles, looking happy and all smiley 🙂
Love his casual outfit!
So happy to have YOO back and, most of all, knowing that he realized how his fans had been missing him. It’s love in the air!
And by the way, today 17th January is Yoo Ah In’s 10 Year Anniversary of Acting Career (10 Year Debut Anniversary)! And SIKseekers just had a party in our twitter! 😀 For us here, let’s once again say congratulations Master Sik~ Looking forward to your next fantaSIK projects!
Stay tune for tweet translations Part 2!
