Yoo Ah In’s “Sado” Cranks Up, to Premiere on Chuseok 2015
It was reported earlier that the movie was supposed to crank up in late September. But apparently they had one extra week to get all the shooting done.
Having 3 months exhausted filming since July 8th, Yoo Ah In’s first historical movie (not first historical drama) Sado, Memory of Eight Days officially cranked up on October 9th.
Officials told the press today, that they have just finished shooting on October 9th. Sado is a famous story of the “Coffin King”, Crown Prince Sado, who was executed by his own father, King Yeongjo, by trapping him in a large rice chest.
Director Lee Jun Ik said that they have discussed the materials for a long time, and started working on the movie December last year after completing the script.
The production company has refrained from publishing official stills or behind-the-scene photos of the three lead casts~ Song Kang Ho, Yoo Ah In and Moon Geun Young. And it will likely be revealed only after they start promoting this movie next year.
According to the Star, Sado, Memory of Eight Days sets to première on Korean Thanksgiving Day (Chuseok), September 2015. If this news is legit, I’m afraid we won’t get to see our Master Sik at the première, because by the time the movie releases he will be serving as an active military duty. Boohoo!
