Good Citizen Yoo Ah In Heads to the Poll to Vote on Election Day

On April 13, many celebrities went to the polls to vote in South Korea’s 20th legislative election.

The polls opened at 6 a.m. on April 13, with 13,837 polling locations across the country. Actors, idols, and more were spotted at polling stations as they cast their vote in the elections despite busy schedules. Yoo Ah In was seen voting at a school in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, around 3 p.m.

Wearing the ripped jeans, Vetements hoodie and Jardin de Chouette cap, Yoo Ah In cast his vote with a bright smile πŸ™‚

Yoo Ah In always encourages people to vote in every election. And this year too, he encouraged young people to vote. In his “Six Flying Dragons” finale episode’s press conference/interview, Yoo Ah In said that voting is as important as college and career choice.

Yoo Ah In said, “Though our life doesn’t change immediately, everyone has the right to decide on how we want to live and what kind of world we want to live in. So, be sure to vote. To participate in the elections means to choose the people who will change our life, and that’s the most important thing.”

His art gallery Studio Concrete also posted a message to its followers to vote in the election day.

The picture says: “Abstention is not neutrality. It’s a silent tune – Dante, Alighieri (1265-1321)”. The caption says: “May 13, 2016 is the Republic of Korea’s 20th legislative election. Studio Concrete supports the voting and all voters.”

Yoo Ah In’s encouragement message got positive responses from many people as well. Two thumbs up for YOO, sir! Have a nice spring vacay!

I can’t agree more! I vote every time. I feel the same way as Master Sik feels about voting. He’s so right! πŸ˜˜πŸ’•

Hats off to you, good citizen πŸ˜€ We all must avoid abstentions, as Dante said, “the darkest places in hell are reserved for those who remain neutral in times of moral crisis”. Action is a must if we want to improve our condition and make some changes πŸ™‚

This is what I like about YOO. Not only does he care about acting, he cares about the social and political condition and speaks up his mind about the issue!
