Yoo Ah In’s Studio Concrete Joins The First International Exhibition “2016 Art Busan”

The founder and CEO of the Creative Studio CONCRETE, Yoo Ah In, brought his team to their first international art fair in the 2016 Art Busan, to show the Studio Concrete’s artists works to the bigger audience. And while doing so, Yoo Ah In and his team got the chance to rub shoulders with other prominent Korean artists in this event.

Following the CONCRETE 365 Exhibition, which took place last month, Yoo Ah In and Studio Concrete participated in the 2016 Art Busan Exhibition, taking one of Studio Concrete’s artists Kwon Chul Hwa to the front, showing his amazing paintings in the exhibition.

The 2016 Art Busan took place at BEXCO Exhibition Center, Busan, from May 20 to 23, 2016. The event exhibited more than 200 galleries. This year, to reflect the dynamic and various features of local art, Art Busan invited talented artists, who concentrate in their own world of art rather than focusing in art markets. Studio Concrete took one booth and joined the exhibition from May 21 to 23.

Yoo Ah In himself got the honor to write his message at the Art Busan official website~^^

“I sincerely congratulate ART BUSAN 2016 which has devoted itself to introducing domestic and international artists to the public and communicating with its participants and visitors. With each edition, ART BUSAN has continuously grown with its own color. I hope it will turn into the genuine festival which contributes to the art market as well as the potential of the Korean art.” – Yoo Ah In

Yoo Ah In came with his managers to the art fair twice on May 21st and 22nd. Not only did he visit his Studio Concrete’s booth, he visited the other artists’ as well and talked with them πŸ™‚Β  Most importantly, the Studio Concrete booth attracted quite much attention from the visitors!

Yoo Ah In made quite a scene and he surprised all the people at the art fair when he was coming on Saturday, May 21st

In addition to that, Yoo Ah In and his team got the honor to have some fun art discussion with one of Korea’s most prominent artists Kim Woo Young from Park Ryu Sook Gallery. Kim Woo Young has been working in the art photography field for more than a decade, and has received local as well as international recognition.

Founded in 1983 by the eponymous art dealer, Park Ryu Sook Gallery is recognized as the pioneer of creating what is now a vibrant contemporary art scene in Gangnam area of Seoul. The gallery has contributed to establishing the careers of some of Korea’s most important artists, from the first generation of Korean modern/contemporary artists.

Both Studio Concrete and Park Ryu Sook Gallery have the same idea and goal. We can expect that the future great artists are already right there and being cultivated in Studio Concrete too!

Yoo Ah In also came back on the second day of art fair, May 22nd. This time some media (and fans, of course) got to take his photos, albeit only a few.

And Yoo Ah In himself posted Studio Concrete’s booth photo in his instagram account, right from Busan, with caption “art busan 2016 #studioconcrete” πŸ˜€

Yoo Ah In posted his own photo from his “short vacation” in Busan as well, with a cute emoticon as the caption πŸ˜€ while his artist-slash-bestie Chulhwa posted the photo of his back at the same place πŸ™‚

Anyway, congrats on YOOr first international fair, Master Sik & Studio Concrete! Fly higher and higher!

He is a true leader, he brings his friends up to the new level of artist, he gives them an opportunity to shine and get appreciation and recognition, and he earnestly enjoys art in the middle of that πŸ‘
