Yoo Ah In & Studio Concrete Reveal More Teaser Photos and Video for CCRT AEROSPACE

When we thought the first two batch was already awesome (see here), Yoo Ah In and his artist group from Studio Concrete come back every day giving more brilliant and intriguing teasers for the new art-fashion brand CCRT AEROSPACE.

Different teasers were revealed in CCRT AEROSPACE official instagram since Oct.12 as part of a promo series, and they continued doing it every day till Oct.18, the day before the launching event in Boon The Shop Cheongdam Fashion Week FW 2016.

You’ve seen the first two batch (Oct.12~13) forming a beautiful giant collage in CCRT AEROSPACE instagram account~

Here are the Oct.14~15 teasers respectively~

fragile. handle with care OR…….

sneak peak on the story board

The Oct.16 teaser is so unique, because it shows “Yoo Ah In clone troopers”, inspired by the sci-fi Star Wars~

No need to fight anymore, girls. There are enough of Sik for all of us πŸ˜€

However, one of delicious Sik clone turns to a rebellion, as you can see here~

ooh that piercing stares~~

As Yoo Ah In said on the introduction, CCRT AEROSPACE is inspired by many science fiction films. Now, this teaser also reminds us of another sci-fi reference, which hints were already thrown by Yoo Ah In in his recent instagram updates, such as: “the new order”, “chaos”, and the last one is this~

Metropolis, 1927 #FritzLang

“Metropolis” is a German epic science fiction movie from 1927, directed by Fritzlang. My friend and I had a little discussion about this movie, and how it influenced the CCRT-AEROSPACE teaser.Β

“Metropolis” a silent movie about the New World Order as represented in the movie. There are “The workers” in the movie. They have been brainwashed to work like non-thinking zombies. The brainwashing doesn’t succeed with one of the workers (a woman: the main character). So she starts a revolution, and entices the workers to revolt with her.

Same goes with “Star Wars”. In the prequel film “Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones” (2002), the first clone troopers (called stormtrooper) are cloned from bounty hunter Jango Fett, to be the Army in the Clone Wars. In “Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awaken” (2015), a reformed First Order stormtrooper revolted and left First Order (the wicked ones) to join The Republic (the good ones).

So basically, Yoo Ah In, in this photo, is the one who is not brainwashed! As a matter of fact, he starts the revolution πŸ˜€ How cool is that?

Yoo Ah In also posted the teaser in his instagram~

The teaser for October 17th might be the most interesting and anticipated one, as it also revealed the CCRT AEROSPACE teaser video for the first time! The teaser clip/video is located right in the middle of Yoo Ah In’s high quality giant photo~

Here’s the video in Youtube version (and the GIF, of course)

And last but not least, here’s the last teaser released today, Oct.18. Actually, it’s an information about CCRT AEROSPACE online store. The theme is “Fragile”, with the release date #20161019 stamped on it, and tagline “handle with care OR….” (the blank could be filled in with “Leave” and “Die”, or other words as you like).

The online store will open and start accepting orders on the launching day, October 19th, 11 am KST πŸ™‚ So, be sure to come back to http://ccrt-stores.com on the 19th.

Now, many people are wondering about the coordinate numbers in the teaser photo. Can you guess what it’s all about?

Well, lazy folks, here’s the quick answer. The numbers presented in this teaser are the latitude and longitude coordinates of Studio Concrete’s actual location! πŸ˜€

Latitude and Longitude are the units that represent the coordinates at geographic coordinate system. Just like every actual house has its address (which includes the number, the name of the street, city, etc), every single point on the surface of earth can be specified by the latitude and longitude coordinates. Therefore, by using latitude and longitude we can specify virtually any point on earth.

If you are using google map or GPS, you will find that Studio Concrete lat long coordinates are: 37.32326 latitude and 127.00090 longitude. And Studio Concrete GPS coordinates are: 37Β° 32′ 32.6” N 127Β° 00′ 09.0” EΒ  πŸ˜‰

Studio Concrete team truly has amazing ideas and concept!

CCRT AEROSPACE 16FW Collection launching will be held in Boon The Shop, with special performance by Rapper BewhY, who’s also the contributor for this new art brand. Can’t waiiit! πŸ˜€
