May 1 – Yoo Ah In to receive 5th military re-examination on May 22nd

The official decision on Yoo Ah In’s military enlistment has been delayed once again. According to the official statement made on May 1 by UAA, Yoo Ah In’s agency, the Military Manpower Administration (MMA) has ordered a reexamination, and the actor is scheduled for a medical exam on May 22. “We ask for your understanding that we are unable to disclose any more information. Thank you,” said UAA. Yoo Ah In has thus far, on several occasions, expressed his intentions to enlist as an active duty soldier, but due to a shoulder injury and a bone tumor, has undergone several postponements and medical examinations already.

May 11 – Yoo Ah In screen-captured the inauguration ceremony of the new South Korea president Moon Jae In, and he wrote a heartfelt message

In the caption Yoo Ah In says:

A country as it should be. A president as expected to be. It’s the era of Gwanghwamun lit up by the people with candlelight. Instead of  standing on top, please stand tall in the middle and make a better Republic of Korea. It was a magnificent inaugural speech. It conveyed good will and justice, flexibility and broad-mindedness, as well as strength and balance. As a Korean citizen, I’m looking forward for such a country, and such a president. I will be with you. Congratulations. #Republic of Korea #President #Moon Jae In #respect #REAL🇰🇷KOREA

Yay to the new president! Master Sik must be happy!

May 11 – In the same day, Yoo Ah In posted Studio Concrete’s next event. This time is Mok Jung Wook Solo Exhibition titled ‘Fearless’.

🙌🏻⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ <FEARLESS>, a solo exhibition by MOK JUNGWOOK, follows the artist around the globe as he tells a story of nuanced dissonances he encountered over more than a decade of traveling through urban spaces. ☝🏻Art products designed by Nosup Park will be sold at Studio Concrete for the duration of the exhibition. STUDIO CONCRETE MOK JUNGWOOK SOLO EXHIBITION <FEARLESS> OPEN TO THE PUBLIC May 12, 2017 – July 2, 2017 11am-9pm / MON TO SUN www.studio-ccrt.com 162 Hannam-daero, Yongsan-gu Seoul, Korea 02)794-4095 ⠀ #Mokjungwook #목정욱 #FEARLESS #studioconcrete #스튜디오콘크리트

He wrote the caption in both Korean and English. Here are the translations on his Korean caption:

The photographer’s solo exhibition “FEARLESS” will be held at Hannam-dong Studio Concrete from May 12 to July 2.

“Mok Jung Wook ‘s solo exhibition” FEARLESS” is about the subtle emotional conflicts encountered in the landscape of time and space that the artist has experienced during the past 10 years.

The artist sharply captures the trace of time that can be found in a very small, very private space, revealing the memory of the object and the emotions caused thereby through the “Car” series and “Gas Station” series. He puts in the sensible colors and composition the points where the delicate emotions that he felt facing the objects in the daytime and night time, and the emotions hidden in the splendid cityscape collide closely with each other.

Like an observer in urban space, he moves, collects, records, drifts space, and makes ordinary everyday landscapes a keen eye-catching special moment that brings out various emotions. Today, the city landscape that stands firmly in the flow of nature and a small space that retains the last memory of the individual and the traces of the passing time, stands in front of each other with the frank appearance of each without fear.

– Preface ‘The traces of time engraved without fear, and so did the signs’

Thank you for your interest. 🙌🏻

May 11 – In the evening, Yoo Ah In attended Studio Concrete’s “Fearless” Exhibition private viewing party. Check him out sitting and watching the giant screen on the left corner~
